Celebrating Volunteers

It is Volunteer Week nationally and to mark the occasion five Central Beds volunteers with Sight Concern’s Volunteer Coordinator attended the Cheering Volunteer awards at the Grove Theatre, Dunstable. Sight Concern’s Central Beds home visitors were nominees for the Volunteer Group of the Year award.

It was a very happy event celebrating volunteers with a huge buffet, lots of music – Tom Jones impersonator and many heart warming stories of volunteer contribution to community life.

Throughout June Sight Concern Bedfordshire are thanking and celebrating their volunteers with tea parties in different parts of Bedfordshire. Five year long service certificates will be presented at the parties by the Chair of Sight Concern Board of Trustees
