Sight Concern Event 23rd September 2024

Please come along and join us at our free event to celebrate National Eye Health Week:

Come and talk to us and meet other organisations who can support you including Healthwatch Bedford Borough, Age UK Bedfordshire, Blind Veterans UK, Citizens Advice Bedford Borough, Voiceability, RNIB, Macular Society, MindBLMK, Bedfordshire Sight Loss Council and more.

Workshops and more

Event includes a Mindfulness session delivered by Mind BLMK at 11 – 11.30 and opportunity to discuss Mindfulness with an instructor from 11.30 – 12; Seated Dance session delivered by Imagination Dance from 12 – 12.30;

Our Blind Bowls Champion will show you and help you participate in bowls; weather permitting there will be kite flying and tandem bike riding. Kathie will be on hand to demonstrate Cocoon sunglasses.

There will also be Sighted Guiding and Visual Awareness Training for those interested in learning how to guide your friend, family member or patient (please sign up when you arrive).
