Come along and chat to us at our stand at the following free events for information and advice about services and living aids to support blind and partially sighted people.

East Bedford Drop-in Coffee Mornings

Usually the first Thursday of each month at Christ the King Church Hall, Harrowden Road, Bedford, MK42 0SP

10am – 12pm

Our Visually Impaired Champion George joins many other local support organisations with stands at free coffee morning drop-in sessions organised by East Bedford Primary Care Network on the following dates:

Thursday 6th February (note there is no event in December 2024 or January 2025), Thursday 6th March and Thursday 3rd April
You will be able to access free support and information, or you can just pop in for a chat, or a free cup of coffee/tea and biscuits. More dates to be confirmed later.

Vision Zone 2025 events with Optelec at Wixams, Luton and Biggleswade

At Vision Zone events, as well as meeting Sight Concern for information and advice, you can see specialist low vision equipment supplier Optelec demonstrating it's latest magnification equipment and giving you the chance to get hands-on too. Also there will be stands from other organisations too.

Wednesday 19th February – Vision Zone Wixams at Wixams Retirement Village – Wixams, Bedford MK42 6EA from 11am – 2.30pm.

There will also be information stands from: Age UK Bedfordshire; Bedford and District Audio News; Healthwatch Bedford; RNIB; Synapptic; Cobolt and Torch Trust.

Wednesday 12th March – Vision Zone Luton at Bushmead Community Hub, Hancock Drive, Luton LU2 7SF from 11.30am – 2.30pm

There will also be information stands from: Age UK Bedfordshire; RNIB; Synapptic and Luton Council Sensory Team.

Monday 16th June – Vision Zone Biggleswade at The Weatherley Centre, Eagle Farm Road, Biggleswade SG18 8JH from 11am – 2pm

Professional Vision Services Drop-in Day in Flitwick

Tuesday 15th April, we're at The Rufus Centre (Templefield Room), Steppingley Road, Flitwick MK45 1AH

10am – 2pm

Come and try out the latest magnification equipment from Professional Vision Services Limited. The Sight Concern team will also be there to provide information and advice on living with sight loss.
